Owner, Jose Esquivel
I remember as a 12-year-old, my dad waking me up at 5 or 6 in the morning, absolute torture for a kid that age. My dad ran his own hardwood flooring business, and I was cheap labor. We would drive all over southern California, doing jobs at all manners of different homes. Despite the fatigue, I learned a lot. Hard work, long hours, and, ultimately, making sure the customer was overjoyed with the improvement to their home. I've carried with me those lessons, and I hope to pass them on to my children. My wife, Adriana, and I are parents to a daughter and 2 sons, which we are raising in Santa Ana, CA.
I have worked most of my career in the chemical industry, with roles in manufacturing, marketing, project management, and procurement. Having worked in Louisiana, California, Ohio, and Illinois for some of the largest companies in the industry, I ultimately ended up back home working for a coatings company. Along the way, I earned 2 master's degrees and a Lean Six Sigma certification, which have helped me prepare for my move into business ownership.
I (along with my wife) have decided to start Sir Grout Tustin as it combines my family heritage in home improvement, the business skills I have learned, and the specialty chemistry in the products we offer. I am dedicated to the community, serving on a few local boards and employing the best people I can find. I fully intend on delivering on the quality promises of Sir Grout, and the values imparted to me by my family.
